High energy self generating cdi ignition system (sparking starts at 250rpm), located in place of the original Wipac alternator in the left hand cover - Single Spark Plug System.

Race Ignition Kit

• Replaces the original Lucas/Wipac alternator and rotor. Points, distributor and battery are not required.
• The spark energy and the timing are produced by the stator coil. The exact advance curve is determined by the stator + CDI combination.
• Connects directly to the CDI unit, and HT coil.
• Additional weight (approx 1/2kilo) is available for added momentum. Bolts directly onto the rotor. Electroplated for corrosion reduction.
• Kit comes with the appropriate screws and spaces but you may also purchase from us an extractor and rotor holder.
• Keyless rotor fitting on to crankshaft. This uses a larger collet to lock the rotor key securely onto the crank. Advantages over a woodruff key and keyway are infinite repositioning of the rotor for ignition timing, can be used on a worn crank or damaged keyway.
